Individual & Student Organization Advising
MSS professional staff members work in collaboration with student leaders, student organizations, identity communities, and individual students to provide support, resources, mentorship, and advocacy from an identity-based advising framework.
Welcome Week & Recognition Ceremonies
Multicultural Student Services hosts an annual Multicultural Welcome event, providing new students with an opportunity to learn about the office, meet staff and student leaders, and discover ways to get connected. This event is a great way to build community, make new friends, and explore important university and community resources.
MSS recognition ceremonies celebrate diverse members of the graduating class. As we have supported our students during their time at UVA, we also want to acknowledge their college journey, celebrate this huge accomplishment, and support them as they go out into the world with their degrees.
