Developing Citizen Leaders for a Lifetime of Impact

The Meriwether Lewis Institute for Citizen Leadership (MLI) at the University of Virginia is a multi-year fellowship that prepares students for a lifetime of leadership at the University and beyond. Students form long-lasting connections with their peers, UVA faculty/staff, and senior administrators. We are looking for student leaders who want to leave the university better than they found it. Students are equipped to tackle complex University challenges and grow as ethical, innovative leaders.

In the summer between their second and third years, the Fellows stay in Charlottesville for a four-week program where they learn and develop various leadership skills.
