University Police and Ambassadors
The University Police Department is responsible for the well-being of everyone at UVA. Access crime logs, request security for an event, or learn more about the Ambassador Program.
Just Report It
Just Report It is UVA's online reporting system for situations including, but not limited to: hazing, harassment, bias and discrimination, and threats or acts of violence.
Threat Assessment
The violence prevention committee has developed policies and procedures for the prevention of violence on Grounds, including assessment of and intervention with individuals whose behavior poses a threat to the safety of the University community.
24/7 Virtual Mental Health Resource
TalkNow provides 24/7, on-demand access to a mental health professional to talk about anything at any time. Students can connect to TalkNow within minutes to discuss any level of concern, from conflicts with roommates to more serious mental health crises.

We strive for all residents to have a safe and healthy year. You can help! One of the most important things you can do on Grounds is be proactive about your personal safety.
If this is an emergency or someone is in danger, call 911. Note that UVA phones no longer require a 9 before dialing 911.

Care and Support Services (CASS) at Student Health and Wellness provides inclusive support for all students with unmet needs to increase students’ ability to identify, reduce, and navigate barriers to their growth and well-being.
