Spring 2025 Programs

Membership Intake Guidelines - MGC/NPHC

The Multicultural Greek Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council chapters conduct the membership selection process, known as Intake or Rush, at the individual chapter level.  Each chapter hosts their own informational sessions and interest meetings to connect with potential aspirants and provide them with any necessary paperwork prior to interview and selection processes.  All chapters planning to conduct membership intake must complete the Request to Conduct Intake Form prior to hosting interest/informational meetings.   The form must be approved by the council advisor prior to beginning any intake activities.  Please contact Dean Vicki Gist (NPHC) or Alex Winkowski (MGC) for further details regarding the Guidelines for Membership Intake.  Once approved for membership intake, chapters must also submit a timeline for membership intake activities and a list of aspirants to Fraternity and Sorority Life by the deadlines set each semester.

Fall 2024 Membership Intake Deadlines & Form Links

• Request to Conduct Membership Intake: Due by September 10th
• Membership Intake Timeline: Due by September 20th
• Acknowledgement of Aspirants: Due October 18th
• Membership Intake Deadline (including new member presentations): November 24th

Spring 2025 Membership Intake Deadlines & Form Links

• Request to Conduct Membership Intake: Due by January 27th
• Membership Intake Timeline: Due by February 10th
• Acknowledgement of Aspirants: Due March 3rd
• Membership Intake Deadline (including new member presentations): April 20th

Recruitment - IFC/ISC

Inter-Fraternity Council and Inter-Sorority Council chapters conduct Formal Recruitment at the beginning of each Spring Semester. Some chapters may elect to participate in Informal Recruitment, sometimes referred to as Continuous Open Bidding (COB), following Spring Formal Recruitment and/or during the Fall Semester. All chapters participating in Formal Recruitment must submit a New Member Education Timeline to Fraternity & Sorority Life by their respective council Bid Days. 

Furthermore, all chapters planning to participate in Informal Recruitment must complete the Informal Recruitment Intent Form prior to beginning their informal recruitment process.

Fall 2024 Informal Recruitment

• Informal Recruitment Intent Form: Due by September 10th
• Initiation Deadline: November 24th

Spring 2025 New Member Education and Informal Recruitment

• New Member Education Timeline: Due by ISC or IFC Bid Days
• Informal Recruitment Intent Form: Due by February 2nd
• Initiation Deadline: March 24th
