Women's Asian American Leadership Initiative (WAALI)
Women’s Asian American Leadership Initiative (WAALI)
The Women’s Asian American Leadership Initiative (WAALI) is a student-led, MSS-sponsored program designed for 2nd-4th year students interested in exploring leadership development through the lens of the Asian and Asian American women's experience.
For two hours a week over an eight-week span in the fall semester, WAALI cohort members engage in meaningful discussions on leadership at the intersection of race and gender. This discussion-based program centers the experiences of Asian American women while welcoming all students interested in exploring identity, storytelling, and leadership development.
Some topics that are covered include Asian American Women in the Media, Asian American Women in the Workplace, Wellness and Emotional/Mental/Physical Health, and many more.
