Alex began working with Fraternity & Sorority Life as a Program Coordinator in 2020 and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2021. In Fall 2023, they began their appointment as Interim Director and in July 2024 they began their role as the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life.

Alex Winkowski is the Assistant Dean and Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life. Alex began working with Fraternity & Sorority Life as a Program Coordinator in 2020 and then as Assistant Director in 2021. In Fall 2023, they began their appointment as Interim Director and in July 2024 they began their role as the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life. They serve as the primary advisor for the Inter-Fraternity Council and Multicultural Greek Council.

In addition to supporting the Fraternity & Sorority community, Alex was also responsible for the development and administration of LGBTQ-related programs and services and manages all aspects of the LGBTQ Center from 2019-2024, with emphases on providing resources, support, and programming for LGBTQ students and student organizations.

Prior to joining the Student Affairs team in 2019, Alex earned their Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs at The Ohio State University.  During their time at Ohio State, Alex served as a Graduate Associate for Social Justice Engagement in the Multicultural Center, as well as a Graduate Advisor in Sorority & Fraternity Life. Alex graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2017, where they received degrees in Public Policy and Environmental Science. Alex is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
