As you navigate the pressures of this exam period, I’d like to remind you that Honor at UVA is more than a policy. It is a commitment that lasts a lifetime. The habits of integrity and accountability we build here on Grounds do not end at graduation; they become the foundation of our professional and personal lives, wherever they may take us.
The choices we make today define the trust others will place in us tomorrow. By upholding the Community of Trust as a student, you are investing in a reputation that will stay with you long after you leave the University. Don’t let the temporary stress of finals cloud the permanent value of your character. Take pride in your integrity and let it be a source of strength as you finish the semester.
Wishing you my best,
Thomas Ackleson
