Dear Students:

If you have not received a flu shot or COVID booster, it’s not too late! This year’s flu season is already underway with a very high activity level in many states, including Virginia. Flu vaccination can afford protection from a more serious case of the illness and help stem possible transmission to others. Likewise, the COVID booster is highly recommended for students, given your close living quarters and the need to self-isolate and miss in-person classes if you become ill.

Many pharmacies and health departments offer both flu and COVID vaccines. Student Health and Wellness offers flu vaccination through Medical Services and the pharmacy. The Student Health and Wellness pharmacy also offers COVID boosters. Appointments may be scheduled online through the Healthy Hoos patient portal.
