Julie Caruccio (she/her) is a double 'Hoo, CLAS ’94 and EDUC ’13, and grew up in Charlottesville where her father was on the History Department faculty for almost 30 years before his death in 2005.

Julie Caruccio (she/her) is a double 'Hoo, CLAS ’94 and EDUC ’13, and grew up in Charlottesville where her father was on the History Department faculty for almost 30 years before his death in 2005. After receiving her M.Ed. from the University of Vermont in 2000, she directed Orientation and New Student Programs at SUNY Geneseo before returning to UVA in 2003 as the Director of the Graduate Fellows Program at the Jefferson Scholars Foundation. In 2006, Julie moved over to Central Grounds as the Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer, and has held a series of roles in Student Affairs since then including working with the Honor Committee, Housing and Residence Life, public service, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Student Engagement and Inclusion, and most recently as the interim Dean of Students. She lives in Charlottesville with her husband and two children.
