Welcome to UVA

We in the Division of Student Affairs welcome you to the University of Virginia! We are all thrilled you have decided make UVA your university. We look forward to answering your questions over the summer and into the fall as you begin your journey on Grounds.

Beginning college is a big step. I know you are probably feeling a range of emotions right now. We are here to support you as you take this first step and the many that will follow.

The area I am honored to lead – the Division of Student Affairs – is committed to you, your well-being and your success. Students are at the center of what we do every day.

Whether it’s making sure there is a vibrant life outside the classroom or providing resources around physical and mental health, we care about your total experience at UVA.

Summer Orientation will get you started in learning more about your University and how you can thrive as a member of this community. We look forward to meeting you during Orientation. Once you meet your Orientation Leader, don’t hesitate to reach out to them with questions.
